A cow with ear tags looks into the camera from a crowded feedlot pen, under a navy banner reading "Legislating Factory Farms: Presented by MCE, featuring Senator Tracy McCreery."

🐄🏛️🌎 Join us for Legislating Factory Farms, a discussion with Senator Tracy McCreery on factory farming’s harms, legislative solutions, and how you can take action—hosted at Bombay Food Junkies!

👉 Please register by November 16th so there’s room to seat and feed everyone.

Over the past decade, Missouri’s legislature has promoted CAFO expansion. In 2019, lawmakers barred counties from passing CAFO rules stricter than state law, and in 2023, the Missouri Supreme Court upheld it. CAFOs threaten our water, air, and soil, as well as the health of animals, workers, and neighboring communities.

This timely conversation will feature:

  1. 🎤 Senator Tracy McCreery, a champion for stronger CAFO regulations in Missouri

  2. 📜 Policy experts from the Missouri Coalition for the Environment (MCE) on the history, obstacles, and future of CAFO legislation

  3. 🍽️ Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a surprise treat from Bombay Food Junkies, and more food for purchase

This event is for you if you:

  • 🐷 Want to stop the spread of CAFOs in Missouri

  • 💧 Believe every Missourian deserves safe water and clean air

  • 🔍 Wonder how Jefferson City shapes CAFO policy

For over a decade, MCE has worked to regulate factory farms that pollute Missouri’s air, land, and waterways, and they’re not stopping now. We’re proud to join them and St. Louis Animal Rights Team for this discussion. Special thanks to our host, Bombay Food Junkies, St. Louis’ only 100%-vegan Indian restaurant!

Together, let’s hold the CAFO industry accountable for people, animals, and the planet!
